Everybody makes a bad decision or a few mistakes once in a wile. Some are little, others you may regret for the rest of your life. Making a mistake is easy, but learning not to make the same one twice can be hard. Experience is the hardest way to learn from a mistake. Last summer I made a stupid decision that I know I will never make again.

It was the week of the Fourth of July. It was also the best and worst week of my entire life. I had just bought a new car. It was my perfect dream car. I was just starting to date a girl that I really liked and best of all; my parents were going out of town for the weekend. I decided to have some people over that Saturday night to party a little and show off my new car.

The party went on for a long time; everyone was drinking, dancing, and having a good time. The night passed and it was getting late and everyone had left, except for my one friend who was spending the night. He came late to the party so he didn't get a chance to see my new car before I put it away. He talked me into a ride down the street. I was still drunk, unfortunately I decided I was good enough to make it around the block. I remember thinking "what could happen, I am just going around the block". We left and I was doing great until the road turned and I didn't. I ran my car straight into a tree. Just after the point of impact I thought to myself "this probably isn't as bad as you think".
