Abortion is a hot topic these days. We hear about it on television and on the radio. Should we, even take a position on this issue when we have no idea what is involved in each person?s case?

Abortion is a very sensitive issue because there are many reasons for having an abortion. And a lot of the time it is not just because a lady does not want to have her baby. It could be due to the lady having been raped, sometimes a lady can?t support a baby, and sometimes it is because the condoms or birth?s control did not fully protect them.

Some people think that the lady should have the baby and then put it up for adoption, but then there are also a lot of other people that think that the child will suffer psychologically because in a lot of cases the child never gets to meet their biological parents.

At this point there are different opinions. Some people think that the decision to have an abortion should be between a woman, her doctor, and her faith. They think that abortions should be safe, and legal. In contrast, other people tend to think that a lady should have an abortion only if they were raped or if the life of the mother is at risk. They, however, think that the decision should be up to the person, not the government.

In my personal opinion we can lower the number of abortions by emphasizing education, and explaining to the population since they are children how they can reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies. This is a very good point, and we can avoid a lot of undesired pregnancies.
