NOTE: I am aware that there is a lot I don't know about abortion, but this is completely all my opinion on what I DO know about abortion. I am open to new ideas/comments/suggestions...
I have really strong and mixed feelings about abortion. I wish that all people could hear my opinions on abortion because I think that there are a lot of people out there who either really support abortion or they strongly oppose abortion, but they aren't well informed on the issue. I myself can't say I know both sides of the issue very well. But if people knew all of the information or the complete problems/benefits with abortion, then opinions would be a lot different then they are now. Personally, I think that the main controversy that people don't realize about abortion is the fact that it's not a matter of pro-choice or pro-life, it's a choice no matter if you are for it or against it.
The controversy is WHO is making the choice. Either the government is making the choice by abolishing the right to have an abortion, or the government is making the choice to allow women to have the right to have an abortion. Either way--it's a choice.
For the most part, I support abortion and I think that women should be able to have an abortion if they need to, but I also think that it is not necessarily the greatest choice. Some people think that abortion is the murder of a human being, but I think that it's not technically murder until a certain point when the fetus is actually a baby. When is this point determined??? That is one of the main controversies. That is why I think there should be a limit on when you are able to have...
Great essay
I think you present strong arguments. I believe that abortion is the choice of the woman and that it should be wee thought out. There are alternative choices besides abortion such as adoption. A woman does reserve the right to choose for herself though.
