OPINION ESSAY

Although the position of women in society today has improved, there is still a great deal of sexual discrimination.

Talking about women condition is talking about the structure of a society that often change within different countries because of different cultures. Thinking about populations which religion is based on the submission of the wife to her husband and her completely devotion to her family we could say that the craved emancipation of all women has not been reached yet. Despite that moving to more developed countries big goals have been accomplished and the position of women in society has greatly improved. Does that mean that women finally, after long struggles and rebellions, put and end to sexual discrimination? My point of view is that even though all the achievements that brought women to better life conditions and more important roles in society, still does exist for some aspects what we could define sexual favoritism.

To begin with, a widespread beliefe of society is the idea of a woman binded in a domestic enviroment involved in tasks as look after her kids or carry out chores letting her husband the possibility of having a career. Even though this mindset started from the very past of human history and for this reason this convinction it's difficult to uproot , fortunately today is becoming easier to see a woman with a well-payed job compiting in some cases at the same level of men. On equal terms, nonetheless given opportunity seems to be the same, all women find themselves in front of an uncomfortable position.
