ANALYSIS PAPER ON DETERMINING MY CAREER PATH
THESIS
Based on my research, I should stay on my current career path.
BACKGROUND
Most people change their career three times. That involves a good deal of work and money, such as going back to school to retool for a new job. I would rather be sure that the career I'm going into is the right one for me.
The career I am planning to go into is nursing. I am getting into this career not because it's my passion but because my parents think this is the best career I can get into because I am not from this country and also because this career pays well. Another reason I am getting into this career is because it is a pathway to becoming what I feel I would enjoy, which is being a nurse practitioner.
One of the advantages of this career is that it pays well and that it is in demand; so I am guaranteed to find employment at a hospital or hospital center and take care of my family. Another advantage is that it is a pathway to becoming a nurse practitioner.
One disadvantage of nursing is that it can be very physically demanding. In addition, long hours are often required and can sometimes be a mandatory part of work. Another disadvantage is, most of the time nurses have to work under pressure because emergencies are likely to happen.
As a result of seeing both advantages and disadvantages of this career, I am investigating whether or not I should stay on my current career path or change.
