Chapter 1

The Pigs place themselves in front of the stage and in front of other animals because they place themselves in the social levels. In all future meeting, the animals will arrange themselves in order of social ranking and the highest animals can speak their opinions.

According to Major, human is the cause of all animals' problems because human makes animals work and human takes away their results from them.

Major gives all animals a motto that all humans are enemies and all animals are comrades.

There are seven commandments Major gives the animals:

Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. 2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend. 3. No animal shall wear clothes. 4. No animal shall sleep in a bed. 5. No animal shall drink alcohol. 6. No animal shall kill any other animal. 7. All animals are equal.

The first commandment does not consider that some humans love animals.

The second commandment dies not consider that some animals have two legs.

Chapter 2

After Major's death, pigs realize that they should prepare for the rebellion because they are the smartest animals in the farm. The pigs elaborate old Major's teachings into a complete system of thought because they know that they should have a thought of the rebellion. In every secret night, the pigs expound "the principles of Animalism to the others". The pigs give the thought to the animals so they can know how important the rebellion is.

The pigs do not like Moses' stories about Sugarcandy Mountain because it makes the animals believe in something other than the rebellion. The pigs know that they need all the animals to believe in Animalism or they will lose the rebellion. The pigs promise the animals that they "will have all...
