Peer pressure, magazines, fashion, modeling, and wanting to be thin. This all adds up to being anorexic or bulimic. The disorder known as anorexia nervosa is when the person, usually a female, is always thinking about losing weight and is obsessed with being thin. They are terrified of gaining weight, so they don't eat. Some reasons anorexic people are anorexic is because they think their lives would be better if they were thinner. In some ways they hate themselves if their lives are not perfect and if they are not the best. They hate themselves even more and feel guilty if they only eat a tiny amount of food, so they have to starve themselves. Being anorexic is probably one of the worst disorder any human-being can experience.

Although this is hard to believe, there are positive aspects to being anorexic. According to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, the disorder is not as common as it use to be.

You logically lose a lot of weight and you get thinner. First of all most anorexics are not and never really were overweight or fat. Another pro is that it is easier to be anorexic than being bulimic, because when you are bulimic you vomit your food. These next are the best pros in this whole issue. Most anorexics are very intelligent and get good grades. People have feelings and extremely care for people who suffer from anorexia nervosa. Luckily, there are treatments for this disorder, though they are difficult to complete. Teen girls and women, usually female models and celebrities, want to be super thin to feel good about themselves, so they end up becoming anorexic. The positive aspect about this is that they WANT to feel good about themselves.
