Argentina, one of the largest countries in South America. Their president is Nestor Kirchner and has an republic type government. It is about 1,000,000 square miles. Argentina extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Andes. The country has many kinds of landscapes: Mountains, rain forests, beaches, glaciers, deserts and plains. Argentina's climate is usually moderate. The seasons in Argentina are opposite those in North America, so the hottest month is January and the coldest is July. Its population is around 40,000,000. Their population is mostly ethnical Spanish. The capital, Buenos Aries, is the country's largest and most influential city. Most of the people in Argentina speak Spanish, some people there also speak English, Italian, German, and French. The older generations speak indigenous languages; Quechua, Guara i, and Mapuche. Religions practiced there are Roman Catholic, Protestant, and Jewish. There are many beautiful landscapes and attractions that tourist visit every year.

Córdoba, the second most important city in Argentina.

It's known for its history. Córdoba's has a lot of attractive churches, beautiful parks, historic monuments.

If you're visiting Salta, another famous tourist attraction. You should ride on the famous "Tren de las Nubes". Since around 1930, the trains have been running between Valle de Lerma and Puna. It transported minerals, vegetables, and fruits. The "Tren de las Nubes" travels through mountains. It goes by ancient civilizations.

Perito Moreno Glacier is located in Los Glaciares National Park. The glacier is 17 kms from the Patagonia ice field to Lake Argentina.

The town of Puerto Iguazu, is located in the middle of the Iguazu and the Parana rivers. This is the opening to the world famous Iguazu Falls. The amazing beauty with waterfalls that give the appearance of rainbows, the forest that has extraordinary colors, the exotic subtropical plant life...
