Can teenagers have an opinion in our everyday life?

More than 50 years ago, scientists announced to the world a horrible truth about our planet; global warming. For those who don't know, global warming is an increase of the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere due to pollution. Us, humans, all over the world are slowly killing our dear mother nature and are not doing much to help save it. I am a 16 year old girl living in Canada and I have been affected by these news ever since I was in 6th grade. The question here is: do teens these days have a voice to help change our everyday habits and save this planet? I think that we do not, and here is why.

I strongly disagree with anyone who says that us teens do have the abilities to change the future the way we currently see it.

I have watched many teenagers try and talk to the adults, the bosses of many companies. All those have led them absolutely nowhere. From personal experience, I can tell you that adults will barely listen to what we have to say. They'll think things like, "They're young, what do they know?" or "They haven't even been to university yet! They don't know anything about the real world." Let me say this, I do know some things about the real world, and here is one: our earth is dying, and if we don't do anything to save it, it surely will die sooner than we think. I am speaking about my own future! I do not want to be living in a polluted earth and breathe polluted air! I do not want to raise my kids in these kinds of conditions!
