I strongly believe that attachment from birth has a major effect on how relationships through out a person's life. Relationships begin at birth with a person's parents'. Depending on how the parent's interact and bond with a child will show the child how to show love and respect to people they meet and interact with through out their lives. When an infant comes into this world the first thing they do is latch on to their mother and if the mother does not show the baby some security and love. The baby will sense that he or she is alone and not have the security as they did in the mother's womb. As the child grows he or she will learn what love and trust is by how the parent's are with the infant.
The need to be held and feel the security in a parent's arms. If the baby is neglected and hardly ever held and not get the attention the baby needs. He or she will think that they are not wanted and loved. This will affect them through their lives. However as the child grows He or she can find away to show people and future relationships that they are able to be in a loving relationship even if they did not get that growing up
The security attachment style is Children who are securely attached commonly become noticeably upset when their caregivers leave, and are happy when their parents return. When scared, these children will find comfort from the parent or caregiver. Contact given by a parent is acknowledged by securely attached children and they welcome the return of a parent with encouraging behavior. While these children...
