To become a police officer there are many different things that you should know before thinking about becoming a police officer. Some of the different qualifications needed for the job are intelligence, physical stamina, good vision and hearing. Once you decide that you want to be a police officer you then have to select from the different types of police officers. There are sheriffs, deputies state patrol, and US marshals just to name a few. Then depending on the job you take as a police officer depends on the working conditions that you would have. They could be behind a desk in a squad car or even transport a criminal from one state to another state. Employment for police officers is everywhere in the U.S. depending on where the population is depends on what type of police officers and your environment of your workplace. Earnings for police officers vary depending on the position that they hold.

Police officers make as little as 18,000 dollars a year to 65,000 dollars a year. Due to the publics worrying about safety, and the rise in criminal activity this should be generating more jobs for police officers. So as you can see there is a lot into becoming a police officer which I will describe more in detail.
