"Today we can see the origin of much of our own world in the events of the 1700's- the beginning of the modern age." In the 1700's the people had moved over to the America's to get away from the brutal treatment because of there religion, so they moved to America to have a better life. The inventions of the 1700's reflect on today's society. James Watt invented the steam engine in the 1700's and was teh first to make it actually work. Today we look at his invention and see how much we use what he invented. Our cars have progressed a lot since he created the steam engine.

The 1700's were also the Age of Enlightment because the first Chemistry was created. Now we look at the chemistry we use today and from what we learned from the 1700's. Our society today uses it to make medicines, chemicals, and gasoline for our cars to run.

We use chemistry so much that if it was not invented back then, there would be a lot of what we have and know today would not exsist. Today, we can see the origin of much of our own world events of the 1700's- the beginning of the modern age.
