The media is a very big part of peoples lives today. We rely on it to get our daily information whether it be about sports, weather, or even the economic state of the country. The media isn't all true sometimes and that is were problems begin to happen. Sharing information correctly is always an important goal of the media, but at times things can be exaggerated or encouraged which leads to problems. Media is an important part of our country and it is our job to learn how it works so that we may better understand the truth.

The media isn't only for entertainment and sharing information, it is the easiest way for the government to manipulate the population. Edward Bernays is one of the most influential scholars to bring new ideas in the growing world of media. Bernays claimed that the general population should be controlled by a non-visible government to guarantee the survival of democracy.
