Wassily Kandinsky was born in Moscow, Russia on December 4, 1866 and he was one of the first creators of the pure abstraction in modern painting. Wassily founded the Munich group of Der Blaue Reiter (The Blue Rider) from 1911 to the 14th. The form of his style of painting were from fluid and organic to geometric and then to pictographic, an example is the Tempered Elan in 1944. I read that Kandinsky created his art from the music in his mind. A famous quote that he said was "Color is the keyboard and the eyes are the harmonies, the soul is the piano with many strings. The artists is the hand that plays, touching one key or another, to cause vibrations in the soul." Kandinsky loved music, so he used the colors with a pitch and the volume of the sound. He even said that he saw color when he heard music.

He used very light and high graphics color all in the same form and he also made waved of emotions onto this canvas and towards the people who looked at his art. Kandinsky used many different kinds of whites in his work and Kandinsky once said"White is a color of silence just like a pose in music."

When I looked at Kandinsky's paintings and even try to draw them out myself, I notice how he used a blue line that looks like black, but if you look closely at it, you can see the shadow of the blue in the line. It is very hard to draw what Kandinsky is trying to express, but I can understand some parts into what the painting means because I know that he is expressing music in some way.
