Throughout the years there are many people who have claimed to have the ability to see the future but most of these are frauds and charlatans. There are a few, however, that have proven that they can foretell the future. One of the greatest seers of all time was Michael De Nostredame, who was also known as Nostradamus or 'the prophet of doom' due to the fact that most of his prophecies were about war and death.         Michael de Nostredame was born at noon on the 14th of December 1503, in St. Rémy de Provence in France. He was the oldest son, and had four brothers. He was the son of Jaume and Renée de Nostredame. ...

... the Allies. In another prophecy, Nostradamus described the way in which Henry II of France would die. He predicted this four years before it happened. "The young lion shall overcome the old one In martial field by a single duel, In a golden cage shall be put out his eye Two wounds from one, then shall he die a cruel death" The "young lion" was a Captain of the French King's Scottish guard called Montgomery. Whilst jousting with Henry ("the old one") in a tournament, pierced the monarch's helmet with his lance. It took out his eye and penetrated Henry's brain. It took a whole ten days full of agony that shows why he describes it as a "cruel death".
