I chose the Bavarian Motor Works (BMW) because I want to know more about the first car that I ever bought. I want to know why the sports sedans, compact touring cars, and the luxury cars cost so much in the United States and the rest of the world compared to Germany. If the answer is because the cars are produced in Germany, than I want to find out why the BMW SUV cost less in the United states than in Germany.

There are many things that I'm interested in the BMW company. I'm very interested in the history of this prestige's company. I want to know how a small company founded in 1913 in a bicycle factory is now a global company that annually produces hundreds of thousands of engines, motorcycles, and cars. When Karl Rapp founded this company, his goal was to establish an aircraft-engine shop. I don't think he ever dreamed about building cars and motorcycles.

I'm also very interested in how the company performs against other top European auto dealers like Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Opal, Volvo, and Renault just to name a few. I'm interested also in how MBW compares to other motor companies in the global market like Toyota, Ford, Nissan, Daewoo, Honda, and Infiniti.

Since the company was founded in 1913, I'm interested to know what BMW did during World War I and World War II. Was the company forced to work for the German government in order to produce war supplies and equipment? Was BMW's factory destroyed during the war and how did it recover from such a huge loss?
