The lion has been recognized across cultures as the King of The Jungle. This paper takes a systematic approach by using different models to explore how the lion can improve its skills and its way of life to survive in its ecosystem.

First, I attempt to examine the lion's core competency, which is a bundle of knowledge and skills that create sustained competitive advantage. Second, I examine Porter's five factor forces as a tool for analyzing the structure in strategic processes. I then examine the Balanced Scorecard which translates a mission and strategy into a comprehensive set of performance measures that provides the framework for a strategic measurement and management system. I go on to explore the SWOT analysis to get an understanding and decision-making for all sorts of situations in business and organizations. I follow that with identifying some key success factors, which is an important output of market analysis.

I proceed with projecting the innovation trajectory, which is a line of contribution that is invested in over time with singular commitment to attain deep and unique practical capabilities. Then, I examine the sustainable competitive advantage, BCG Matrix, and Vision and Mission. Finally, I look at the BHAG and its benefit of to inspire and focus organizations on achieving long-term objectives that are consistent with its purpose.
