When I think of the cause of the Holocaust, I do not think of a decorated World War I Veteran being the cause. Adolf Hitler has been placed among history's most hated villains because of his dictatorial rule over Germany, which led to the death of millions. Today I am going to focus on the cause of the Holocaust, some heroes, and the effect on the world that the Holocaust has left.

Some of the causes through influences are when Adlof joined the German Workers in 1919, and later renaming it the National Socialist German Workers Party (shortened to Nazi). By 1921, he was the leader of the group, and in 1923, led an unsuccessful attempt to overthrow the ruling German Weimar Republic. Hitler was sentenced to prison for his role, where he wrote his manifesto, Mein Kampf, and emerged less than a year later as a populist spokesman for the economically depressed.

Hitler became Chancellore in 1933, he suspended the Constitution, forcibly suppressed all political opposition and brought the Nazis to power.

Some of the causes through occurrences are the persecution of the Jews in Germany. It began a month after he became Chancellor on January 30, 1933. Jewish businesses were boycotted and soon vandalized. Jewish personnel were dismissed from local governments, law courts, and universities. Hitler enforced policies with a brutal secret police (The Gestapo) and formed concentration camps for organized murder of Jews, Gypsies, and political opponents. Hitler's aggressive foreign policy precipitated World War II in 1939. Hitler had great success in the war, but by 1942 the tide had turned. Hitler apparently committed suicide in an air-raid shelter in Berlin in 1945 after the allied forces had invaded Germany.
