During the past several months there has been a significant increase in attention given to the issue of homosexuality. All over the media topics being discussed and debated regarding same sex unions, gay rights, and so on. These discussions aren't new; they're just getting more attention at the moment. With all the coverage on the issue I feel led to address the topic of homosexuality and Christians.

Christianity and homosexuality are two words that seem to not go together. Members of religious rights say that you can not be a good Christian and be homosexual. Many ministers and 'experts fell that homosexuality is an abomination. They believe that you can not be a practicing homosexual and go to heaven. The Christian leaders believe that homosexuality is destroying our nation and a threat to the family.

From the prospective of a Homosexual Christian they believe that if you examine what it means to be in Christ, you can honestly determine if a homosexual can be a Christian.

Being in Christ simply means that you have accepted Jesus as your personal savior. John 3:16 says For God so loved the world the he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. The homosexual Christian believe that by believing, in and receiving god into their lives they will be placed in Christ and are saved.

Christian Homosexual's believe that the story of David and Jonathan appears to recognize their homosexual relationship as the equivalent of David and Michal's heterosexual marriage. This is their proof the bible does approve of same-sex marriage.

The Episcopal Church has moved an openly gay priest to bishop, one of the highest offices of the church. Gene Robinson was elected majority of both the clergy and the laity belonging...
