Christianity is Stupid
Joining a religion or church is not a hard thing. It is only when you commit yourself everyday to religion that you sacrifice your leisure time and train your brain into believing a religion. By repeating all the practices that the bible has lain down, the ideas and beliefs slowly get drilled into your head.
Only once you officially and honestly believe in the religion do you start to abide by things such as the hatred of gays, the disagreement with cloning and euthanasia.
Nearly every single religion to this day has been translated and re-translated and over time has lost and gained new meanings. So the original religion may be completely gone and replaced with a new one. Maybe thats why there are so many contradictions.
Christianity contradicts itself in many places for example, in Hebrew 11:6: And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. And then in Exodus 23:8 it says You shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of the just.
In exodus 15:26 God said, If thou wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians.
So he's pretty much saying that if u dont believe in him, your either going to go to hell or get a terrible disease. But if you do believe in him he will reward you.
A Religion is, a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects, this is a brilliant idea; if everyone followed it the world would be at peace, much similar...

Since ur first argument began with a "straw man" and all ur quotations were from the old testament which is the Jewish book, of course it is to be respected, however all the stories in that book were based on fiction and lots of metaphors were used to prove a point!
So dear Matt if u really want to criticize Christianity u should look in the new testament of the bible the one that actually talks about Jesus and written by true historians " the disciples"......thank u for ur time:D
I just wish to say this had the potential of a great essay yet it needs to be refined to be classed as one. I may only be 13 but I believe I can see numerous problems that need to be corrected.
First of all I cannot take the amount of opinion that is in this essay, even the title holds so much opinion. May I suggest a rhetorical title such as, Christianity. Do you follow the bible literally?
Even priests have said not to take the bible to literally as we and the world us have evolved and so changes must be made, that is the reason why these passages are so contradictory, I heard one passage a while ago about Women should be separated from the tribe once a month to keep everyone in harmony. Not exactly practical now but back when it was first written I'm sure it went down like a charm.
Proper English and grammar can get you so far and I urge strongly for you to use it.

State a few sentences at least that are against your views then shoot them down just so people know that there is more than one side to this debate.
Endings are supposed to emphasize your point the most but your one isn't doing much for me.
Hope you take what I have written into consideration. It may sound like endless waffling but I'm sure you get the point. I'll give you a yellow because it has so much potential as I stated before.

How dare you write anything like this and post it on the internet? first of all there are different religions in the world and some don't approve of this nonsense! you should start reading the new testament and start saying that Christianity is NOT STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you don't believe what you have written. There are different religions but they are not the same. You need to understand the text in its context. eg. the eye for an eye, hand for a hand is not God's law, but Moses law. Go to this website for further information. http://news.adventist.org/
