Collecting and Analysing Data Assignment
I found an article about presidential election prediction that Romney would top Obama but would lose to Clinton. The purpose to the study was if a rematch of the 2012 presidential election were held today, Republican Party nominee Mitt Romney would top President Barack Obama in the popular vote.
The study was conducted by CNN/ORC International poll. They conducted the study by asking questions by telephoning 1,012 American adults. This study was probably done in closed question way. There was a sampling bias because the sample was not representative of the whole U.S population. To be exact it was undercoverage because the whole U.S population wasn't represented. It was also Non-response bias because some people may not choose to answer. The survey's overall sampling error was plus or minus three percentage points. According to the poll, if the 2012 election were somehow held again, Romney would capture 53% of the popular vote, with the President at 44%.
The CNN poll indicated that 55% of Americans would support Clinton, with Romney at 42%. This survey was not accurate at all I think because only really sample size of Americans did the survey.
