The field of study that I'm going into is medicine. I would like to major in Pre-Med and then go on to a medical school or some other graduate program, like Tufts University. I've always wanted my career to be something that helps children in need. At first I just wanted to be a doctor. Then one day my little brother came home from school and told me that he doesn't like his teacher because she always yells at him. When he told me this I started to realize how much of an impact teachers have on kids. So I started to change my mind and was considering teaching as a possible career. Then it occurred to me, I wanted a job that benefits little children. As a teacher you do just that, but I wanted to do more; I wanted to be able to have a big impact in not only the child's life, but, also, in the child's family's life.

That's when I decided on pursuing a pediatric career in a hospital.

In school math and science are my strongest subjects. Right now I am taking Running Start Human Anatomy and Physiology for a science course. This course is taught at the high school through the New Hampshire Community Technical College (NHCTC). I find the human body to be very interesting which is allowing me to enjoy taking this course. Because this is a college course I am enrolled as a student at NHCTC and am earning 4 credits towards college. In my spare time I like to volunteer at a local organization called Kid's Café. Kid's Café is a place where underprivileged children go and eat dinner at no charge, and play games. As a volunteer I serve the children their food; I can eat with them...
