Since I came to college I have changed in many ways and I have remained the same in some ways. Coming from North Carolina to Arizona, showed me very quickly how to mature and put on a different learning mode in what I wanted to do and be when I grew up. With living away from my family and going to school made me come to a realization to where I had to mature very quickly and make the first step to becoming a real man.

When I was living at home, I took a lot of things for granted and didn?t really take life seriously or really school. Sometimes I believed I tried, but not hard enough. I was young and immature in certain situations and now that I think about them now, I know that I would act totally different as well as my attitude towards others.

The attitude I set at school was an attitude where I acted like I didn?t care and goofed around in class a lot, and my grades showed. They remained low until I would get to the 11th and 12th grade and at these grades, they were only still mediocre. Another factor in my life was money and I took it for granted. My mother used to always tell me to save my money, and it always went in one ear and out the other. I was always trying to get those new one hundred dollar shoes, or putting in a sound system in my cars. I didn?t need these items, I only wanted them and I should?ve saved my money.
