Armed and ready to defend freedom.
Our founding fathers relied on their weapons to sever England's tyrannical grip on our nation. So important was the role of ordinary citizens in securing liberty and freedom that they enshrined the right in the constitution. The Second Amendment states, "A well-trained militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." In June last year, the nation's highest court affirmed the rights of citizens to possess firearms to defend themselves and their families. Citizens need guns to protect their freedom.
The Supreme Court is again set to decide whether local and state gun control laws violate the Second Amendment. Just over a year ago, the court struck down a handgun ban in the District of Columbia. According to the Associated Press news service, when the case is argued next year, it will test whether last year's Supreme Court ruling applies as well to local and state laws.

As an ex-serviceman I have extensive training and experience with firearms. I own several licensed firearms. My guns are kept unloaded in a gun safe, unless I am carrying one as a concealed weapon for self-defense. I know that if a time comes when I need to use a weapon to stop a criminal, I am ready. My family and friends tell me they feel safer being around someone with my expertise, just in case their worst nightmare came...
