I have worked many types of jobs. I have worked in the civilian world and the military world. There are so many people in the world that don't see or understand what kind of similarities or differences there are between the two. I have enjoyed working both types of jobs and I like them both so much that currently I am working in the military and civilian world. When comparing and contrasting a civilian job versus a military job you will find similarities and differences in pay, hours worked and the chain of command.

The first question people usually ask when it comes to pay is "What is the pay and how do they pay?" People don't like military pay because they only get paid on the first and the fifteenth of each month, whereas, most civilian jobs pay every other week. In the military it doesn't really matter how much experience and what type of job you are doing, like in the civilian job world, when it comes to determining how much you are paid.

In the military you are paid by rank no matter what kind of job you were working. However, both the civilian and military pay provide enough financial stability to live.

Another question that people ask when checking out a job is "What kind of hours are you required to work?" Most civilian jobs typically average to work forty hours a week usually eight to five Monday thru Friday. Whereas, in the military you do more before 9 AM than most people do all day and there is no "clock" when it comes to how many hours you work all week.
