Computers are machines that we use to send e-mail, work on word processing, and try to save pictures. Instead of writing on paper, we use a word processor to help us enter letters into our documents and we use a keyboard to do that. In order to read documents, we use a display monitor to see what we are typing on the screen. Most computers have 5 parts, and they are called the CPU, Hard Drive, Memory, Processor, and Power Supply. To control the computer, we use a mouse and a keyboard for that.

Microsoft Windows is a group of operating systems that is made by Microsoft. It is the most popular operating system in the world and almost 90% of people use Windows as their operating system. The pointer that is used to control the screen is called the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and it is used to click on a file that you saved before, like a document.

It also uses virtual memory management to make the computer faster and running better. Also, it supports multitasking (Which is like clicking on more than one file at a time) and it also supports devices that you can plug into a USB port (Which is like plugging in a MP3 player to upload music to a computer).

Microsoft Office is a group of software that is made by Microsoft. The major programs are Word, Excel, Publisher, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint. It has been mostly made for Windows, but sometimes people use it on Apple Computers. It also includes an Office Assistant to help people who are having trouble using the software or they are having problems with using Microsoft Office.
