The Right to Bear Arms
To begin, there are many conflicts in the United States concerning guns. In my opinion, we need to be allowed the right to bear arms. Guns are used for personal safety. Our founding fathers wrote about it in the Constitution. The Brady Bill was passed because of guns.
Research shows that cars kill or injure people more than guns. We can see that guns are safer than cars and gun owners are safer than car owners.
In Kennesaw, Georgia, several officials attribute a drop in crime in over the past two decades to a law that requires residents to have a gun in the house. Kennesaw Historical Society president Robert Jones said following the law's passage, the crime rate dropped 89 percent in the city, compared to the modest 10 percent drop statewide.
2) "It did drop after it was passed," he said. "After it initially dropped, it has stayed at the same low level for the past 16 years." It is amazing that the law fulfilled what it was made for. We need to keep ourselves and others safe and one way to do that is to keep a gun.
