Character Education Paper Every time I get in the drivers seat there are five things that I am thinking about. Responsibility, Respect, Courage, Honesty, and Kindness. Without these things I would be in a lot of trouble as a person, and a driver.

First Responsibility has helped me while leaning how to drive. I know that you have to be responsible and know all of the rules and regulations about driving. If a person were not responsible then it would be very easy to have accidents happen, and damage to their vehicle.

Next Respect is very important. You must have respect for you vehicle and others. A person should not abuse their vehicle out of anger, and it would be even worse for someone to damage another persons vehicle because they were getting back at them.

Courage may very well be the most important of these character education words. Without courage how do you get behind the drivers seat, pull out of the driveway, turn on a green arrow or merge onto the freeway? I know that every time I drive I try to have courage to pull out onto a four-lane street.

Sometimes you must be a little daring.

Honesty is needed during special situations. If you are in a parking lot and you accidentally put a dent in the car parked next to you, you have to be honest and leave a note stating your name and phone number. If someone put a dent in your car you would want them to leave their name.

Finally, Kindness is needed while driving. You have to be kind to all other drivers around you. If you and another car pull up to a four way stop at the same time, you should be kind and let them go first.

These five things, Responsibility, Respect, Courage, Honesty, and Kindness, will help you while driving. These are essential if you want to be a good,
