Television is addictive as well as drugs. Television and drugs do not let the user think appropriately. Nothing in actuality matters to the addict and one becomes alienated to the real world. If one wants to get away from the real world or even just feel better about them, one would take drugs or watch television for a short instant. Taking drugs or watching television is basically the easy way out of a bad day in one's life. If someone has a bad day, depending on who they are; they could just sit on a sofa, in front of the television and watch their favorite movie or show, and feel better again.

For instance, they both consume their victim's minds; they both have a dubbing-down affect on the person using them. It takes away from ones intellectual ability for no need to think or imagine; it is already done artificially. It is almost as if television is the doorway to drugs. They run into problems, and expect everything to fix itself, because they realize that they do not know how to handle their "real world" problems.
