This is Faith Community Hospital's mission statement. However, the hospital's mission statement has been misinterpreted by many of hospital's staff and managers. There seems be a conflict between the staff's personal beliefs and the work ethics. Consequently, Faith Community Hospital is having numerous on-going problems. If nothing is done soon to fix the problems, the hospital will eventually break down from the inside out and ultimately fall apart. This preliminary report will define the critical issues that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hospital is confronting and the appropriate solutions that should be taken immediately to solve these on-going problems.

Problems

First of all, we have to identify all the on-goring and developing problems within the hospital and all of its outside contribution and influences.

The hospital does not appear to have specific guidelines and rules that the staff and managers can follow, or if it does, those guidelines and rules are not being followed. The hospital also has a serious problem with its staff interfering with proper medical treatment. They allow their religious beliefs and personal morals to interfere with their judgments, without addressing hospital policies, patient interests, or federal law. For instance, there are staff members who do not provide particular medical treatments because of personal, moral, or ethical reasons. As doctors are allowed to practice medicine using their own values as a guideline, this is not a crime. However, there is no consistency between doctors in the hospital.
