The Silent Killer I am doing my report on Rohypnol, otherwise known as date rape drug. To the eye the pills look as innocent as aspirin, but the drug has the power to kill. The date rape drug or roofie is commonly used at parties or nightclubs. The assailant will dissolve a few tablets into the drink of the unaware victim. The victim will consume the drink with the pill inside, and within twenty to thirty minutes begin to feel the effects of the drug.

I am against this incredibly dangerous drug. A friend very close to me, was once taken in by the powerful affects of this drug. My friend Heather was at a party one night, when she suddenly became violently ill. She had not consumed enough alcohol to be as sick as she was. She began to vomit and lose consciousness. She also lost feeling in her body.

Heather vomited over twenty times. While all this was going on, a certain boy had agreed to watch her while she was in the bathroom lying helplessly on the floor. After fooling everyone into thinking he was going to help her, this boy made his move. Locking the door of the bathroom, he turned to defenseless Heather and raped her. Heather was powerless to stop him, she was unable to move her body and defend herself. After this happened the boy left the party, without anyone realizing what had happened to Heather.

Her case has gone to court now, and has put Heather on an emotional roller coaster. The court system told her that her chances of winning were not good, because the boy is saying that it was a mutual consent. Now why would anyone want to engage in that sort of conduct while they were vomiting,
