Marketing can be defined in different ways, depending on the product you are trying to sell. There are many ways to market a product; you can market a product visually on a newspaper, television commercial, magazines, or on the internet. You can also market a product orally by radio, word of mouth, or by phone.

My definition of marketing is to advertise and promote the product you are trying to sell. Marketing the product well will lead to success. "Marketing is the process of planning and executing the pricing, promotion, and distribution of goods, ideas, and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational entities" (Wikipedia, 2005). "Marketing is an organizational function and a set of processes for creating, communicating and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders" (American Marketing Association, 2004).

I work for The ****** Companies, an international produce company that grows and sells produce all over the world.

The ****** Companies is a leading global grower and marketer of produce products and added services. They are one of the top ten produce companies in the world. The company and its subsidiaries service food retail stores in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, as well as in other countries. In the business I work for, marketing is an essential part of our business. Without it, we would most likely go out of business. Being that we are an international produce company, we have a diverse group of customers we have to attend to. Due to the company having a diverse group of customers we have to be diverse in our marketing strategy as well.
