Executive Summary

Nowadays is a fact that modern computing can help an organization to be more productive and be better organized. There are a major number of software and hardware products that can be implemented, depending on each organizations particular needs and so can offer solutions that increase productivity, communication with the clients and partners and help executive personnel in critical decisions. Data processing, file storage, printing services, electronic communications and database applications are a small number of examples that we can use to maximize employees capabilities and organizations profit. It is possible to have the whole electronic protocol of a company stored and managed by computers. Clients are connected to services, pulls the information they need and make their work more easily.

There is also the opportunity to update data and to set the appropriate access controls based on the authorization level each employee must have.

Because of the critical character of those services, we must design properly our networks in order to meet the following requirements:

*Robustness

*Stable functionality

*Good Scalability

*Increased Performance

Good Health Incorporated has requested a proposal for the Design and Implementation of a computer network for their British based operations. This network is required to connect their main hospital site in Manchester to their existing branch hospitals in Birmingham and Glasgow and the soon commissioned new hospital at Bristol. Our company must consider the large requirements of this particular health company, and provide the best possible solution for all the mentioned issues.
