With the development of society, nowadays it is bigger than ever of the wealth gap among nations. The discussion about whether or not wealthy nations should share their wealth among poorer nations by providing such things as food and education is a very controversial one. So before giving my opinion, I think it is important to look at the argument on both sides.

It is a humanitarian action from wealthy nations to share their wealth with poorer nations. One the one hand, wealthy nations provide food for poorer nations. Thus it resolves the hunger problem in poorer nations. On the other hand, wealthy nations can help develop education of developing countries, in terms of investing money and providing facilities. It is also a fundamentality to optimize people's living standard and eradicate poverty in poorer nations. Due to the backwardness of education, people in some poorer nations and regions such as Africa, Latin America and Asia not only suffer from serious lack of food, but also they lack advanced science and technology.

Once the technical level of poorer nations is enhanced, the living environment of people in poorer nations is also improved at the same time.

However, other people argue that it is the responsibility of poorer nations to look after their citizens. In the whole world, as long as they are sovereign states, whether poverty or wealth, they should bear responsibility for their citizens. Living rights and development rights are people's fundamental rights. The government of poorer nations should provide agricultural policy to attract farmers, such as encouraging land reclamation, reducing. Thus a lack of food is resolved, and surplus food can be exported to earn foreign exchange. After poorer nations have more money, they can develop education to enhance level of science and technology.

From what has been mentioned above, we may see that there is some truth in both arguments. Personally, I agree with the former opinion. First of all, it is the responsibility of wealthy nations to help them because poorer nations are also a part of world. Next, decreasing gap between poorer nations and wealthy nations can solve some social problems, such as lawless immigrants. Finally, because wealthy nations can provide a mass of food and advanced science and technology, poorer nations will develop faster.
