What is discrimination?

The word discrimination can be seen or defined in several ways but first lets consider some of the definitions which are given by the dictionaries.

Treatment or consideration of, or making a distinction in favor of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit.

Discrimination involves treating someone less favorably because of their possession of an attribute (e.g., sex, age, race, religion, family status, national origin, military status, disability), compared with someone without that attribute in the same circumstances.

Discrimination happens when a person is denied the opportunity to participate freely and fully in normal day-to-day activities. It might include harassment or victimization in the workplace; being unable to gain physical access to a building or facility; being denied goods and services; difficulty in obtaining appropriate accommodation and housing; or not being able to join a trade union.

Discriminations happens everyday anywhere in this world it doesn't matter when or where its some what in the human nature, people have been discriminating each other since we can remember, before in old times it mainly use to be on origin some tribe or group of people claiming that they are superior over others then there was religion, religion was and still is one of the most dangerous attributes to discriminate people more then any other people will fight and even kill for it unlike age or disability discrimination sure people take it seriously and debate about it but with out violence. It is shame sometimes when people from the same race, religion and even have the same national origin and the same language and culture discriminate each other claiming one is superior over other because of a silly thing or mistake...
