Diversity, discrimination, and oppression are things that I face, and they affect me everyday. Diversity is something you're born in and can't help nor change it. Oppression is something that you can also, be born into. Discrimination is something you are not born into, and you're not made to do it. It is solely your choice.

Everyone is diverse by personality. My personality, which may be fun and entertaining to some may be boring and unwanted by others. Also, by being tall, I'm once again diverse. Diversity doesn't just have to do with different races of people.

Oppression is something I see as maybe a prince growing up in. He has unjust power over people that are well over his age. I can't see your "Everyday Joe" being an oppressor.

Discrimination is a big and fancy word for "hate." When someone discriminates against another, 9 times out of 10, it's before they even know the person.

I feel that if you hate someone, you should at least take the time to know why you hate them, personally. To my knowledge, I've never been discriminated against. I know as kids my parents faced a lot of it. They told me that being discriminated against was scary. It also made them feel bad and non-essential to society. I'm sure that one day, I'll be discriminated against. There is always somebody out there hating you because of what you wear, eat, dress like or believe in.
