In the modern day world that we live in, technology is forever changing and improving all around us. There is great debate over whether technology should be allowed to go ahead or, on the other hand, should it cease to continue all together.

Pollution and the general decrease in the earth natural resources in our environment are some of the main reasons that people are against the continuance of society's technological advances.

Another negative effect of technology is the fact that many products as the result of technology are said to be the beginnings of the dehumanization of society. An example of this is the modern invention of the television. The television is the most firmly ingrained social habit in our everyday lives. The time that children these days spend in front of the television would be much better spent if they were to spend that time with their families and friends.

On the other hand, the production of new technology really creates a more advanced and convenient society for all of us to live in. There are many inventions which help us in our daily life.

The medical side of technology is another scenario where medical technology is so important. Without the improving of medical instruments and machines, many people would have lost their lives. Over the years, there have been fantastic medical findings that are a result of numerous years of research.

When the question of whether technogy should be allowed to proceed, there are many different views that people hold. Although there are many sides of the argument, to my mind, technology should be and will remain to continue in today's society.
