INTRODUCTION
Background of the Study
Based on the news from Tabloidjubi.com, On April 11, 2013 at 02:54:40 has a issue that Jayapura, Although PT Freeport Indonesia has very large foreign direct investment in Papua, but was unable to move and accelerate economic development, especially in Mimika and in general in the province of Papua. (Dominggus Mampiope,2013:).
PT. Freeport Indonesia is one of the largest mining companies in Indonesia even in the world. Freeport mine in Indonesia is a type of Pit Gold, Silver, Copper and other follow-up materials. Its location at Grasberg and Eastberg, Jaya Wijaya Mountains, Papua. Concession area is 19,000 km2 (Grasberg) and 100 km2 (Eastberg).
Freeport is one of the largest contributors to the country's foreign exchange. However, freeport mining also poses a very big impact for Papua's Mimika region itself, ranging from social and environmental problems of economic development. With the mining activities carried out by Freeport, in fact we have shown helplessness in managing the natural resources of Indonesia. (Ziana, 2014:).
Energy analysts Mr. Batubara Marwan spoke about the presence of PT. Freeport Indonesia "Mining activities of PT.
