While I was in Egypt I gathered lots of information and learned many new things about the country and their culture, I only thought it'd be fair to write a report on what I learned and share it with someone. Normally when people think of Egypt they think of pyramids, camels passing by, desert with no food and water that however is far from what Egypt really is like. The name of the culture for Egypt is called The Republic of Egypt, Egypt is located in northern Africa bordering the Mediterranean Sea, between Libya and the Gaza Strip and the Red Sea north of Sudan, and includes the Asian Sinai Peninsula. The geographic coordinates is 27 00 North, and 30 00 East (http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/print/eg.html).
I learned of both the terrain and the territory, the terrain is how they have vast desert plateau interrupted by Nile Valley and delta. The territory is a total of 2,689km, the country borders Gaza Strip 11km, Israel 255km, Libya 1,150km, Sudan 1,273km; the coastline is 2,450km (http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/print/eg.html).
When traveling through Egypt it was not over populated nor under populated, the population estimated in 2001 was 74,718,797. I generally saw more people that looked between the ages of 15 and 64 that could be because 61.9% of the population is made up of people between the ages of 15 and 64. Ages of people 65 and older were rarely seen they only make up 4.2% of the population; this could be because their age group is the most vulnerable to sicknesses and such things (http://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/print/eg.html).
When getting a tour of government buildings and learning the history of how Egypt came to be we were told of political leaders and such. The countries name is called the Arab Republic of Egypt, or called Jumhuriyat Misr al-Arabiyah if...
