Discuss 5 influences of the Olympian gods on the lives of the ancient Greeks as discussed in the film. Relay the story behind it and show how it affected their lives/ beliefs.

Affairs of Zeus to different goddesses and mortal women

Zeus Is known to be a god that is easily attracted to mortal women and goddesses. Zeus even had an affair with other women while being married the protector of marriage and family. Zeus is known to be a god that takes advantage of mortal women because of his power that's why there are demigods. An example for this demigod is Hercules. Hercules is well known in our Greek history. Mortal men followed the example of Zeus by making it legal to have an affair with many women and prostitutes. They are thinking that the child that will be born will be a great human being one day.

Asclepius, The Healing God

Asclepius, a demigod has the ability to heal people. He learned how to heal from a half man, half horse called a centaur. With his power, he was able to learn more about his ability and on how he can improve it capabilities because of this he even learned how to resurrect people from the dead. When Zeus learned that he had the capability to resurrect people from the dead, he killed Ascelepius because he feared that Ascelepius would destroy the balance of nature. For ancient Greeks, they built a healing sanctuary to honor Asclepius in the city of Epidora. This cites became the first Hospital in the western civilization. Those who seek would come to the sanctuary and offer offerings like sweet cakes and placing them in the altar. During the night, they...
