Entertainment Timed Essay

It is said that an average American can watch up to eight hours of television in one day. Many television shows want to be recreational but get to the point where they are immoral. It does not depend on the audience but on the directors to change what can be watched for hours on television. Entertainment is definitely a way to ruin society.

Media Entertainment affects most of our population worldwide. Websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr are changing the way we look at the world. Most of the people own a cellular device and are more engaged in what is happening inside a screen than in their surroundings. Media entertainment is changing the way we communicate with one another because we are getting used to having these sites in our daily life.

If these websites did not exist, we would all have better communication skills.

Throughout entertainment, people are being introduced to sex. Advertisement commercials such as American Apparel, Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, Axe, and Dolce & Gabbana use sex to sell perhaps anything that is at their reach. Those types of advertisements are truly negative because they get people to think they have to be and look a certain way to be accepted. Sex is being seen as something that is recreationally accepted when in reality it is bringing up consequences like STDs and unplanned pregnancies.

Another way that entertainment has a negative influence is the way politicians use media to gain votes, repeal laws, and overthrow their opponents. Americans for Prosperity spent millions of dollars in advertisements to repeal the health care law and it is also using the ads to thank two vulnerable Republicans for fighting back and voting...
