Ethics and how they play a part in gaining Success in Business To start off I would like to state two quotes the first from Napoleon Hill, Sr. and the second from Albert Carr. "If a man has built a sound character it makes but little difference what people say about him, because he will win in the end."- Napoleon Hill, Sr. What this quote means is that a man who has good ethics will be successful. In contrast to Hill's quote " Only cream and SOBs rise to the top"- Albert Carr. This quote clearly states that people who do not use ethics as a guide become successful.

The reason I started the paper with quotes is to show the two frames of thought and action in which one can take to become successful in business. To analyze the two sides then I can come to a conclusion about which way can bring the most success.

To begin I will look at Hill and his views on ethics. Hill strongly believes in The Golden Rule concept and that being the way to make it in business. What The Golden Rule states is that to do unto others as you wish them to do unto you if your positions were reversed. The reason that is because he wrote a whole chapter in his book dedicated to The Golden Rule. Hill's code of ethics are that of: to do unto others only as you want them to do to you. To be honest even to the slightest detail. To conquer the common human tendency toward hatred, envy selfishness, jealousy, malice, doubt, and fear. To act and make thoughts that are not destructive.
