Abstract

Graffiti is an art that has been defined by the levels of interactions that the graffiti artists have with each other. Graffiti has been known as one of the most influential and emerging art in the modern times. This is an art which is being taught to the students in the high school as well.

This paper analyses the spread and culture of graffiti art amongst the youth. The main focus of this paper is to discuss how graffiti can be used in schools to impart knowledge.

Learning can be made fun and interesting through the use of graffiti.

Introduction:

Graffiti is the form of art in which letters are difficult to understand. Zigzag, scrambled and scratched texture is adopted. These are the paintings which are made on public property such as on streets, trains, and underground areas. Tunnels and under passes are also popular areas for practicing graffiti art. There is a great range of the graffiti and it has been seen that these can range from the simple words being marked on the walls to great elaborative paintings on a canvas or other's properties. Historically, it has been seen that the ancient Greek and Romans are the ones who have been using these kinds of graffiti in there times (Oldfather, & Mclaughlin, 1993, p. 21).
