Psychology 335 Research Methods

Abstract

To explore if eye color affects attractiveness, eighteen students who are currently taking Psychology classes at Sacramento City College were shown 10 head shot photographs, 5 males and 5 females whose eye color were changed to blue and brown. Each student rated the photographs on a scale of 1 being not desirable to 5 being the participant is really attracted to them. The hypothesis was that those in the first group will find the photographs more attractive than those in the second group. Results from this experiment can have implications in understanding the factors that affect attractiveness and other future research.
