Introduction

In our modern day of age, people and businesses, not only in Australia, but all over the world is becoming more and more dependent upon electronic systems, eg; Computers, to make things easier, convenient and business more efficient.

If we want to be able to keep up with the competition from other stockbroking companies, we will have to embrace and keep up with technology and the rapidly advances of today. By implementing new systems, containing a website, an intranet and other administrative systems, Gordon Banks should be able to keep up with the competition in this highly competitive stockbroking market.

Because our goal is not only to survive, but to prosper, the implementation of the various systems of this proposal is not to be overlooked.

It is estimated that the development and implementation will take 3 months.

Gordon Banks Ltd. currently has 20 people on the payroll, this is including management and administration, the suggested system implementation will require that extra staff is hired, in order to comply with the expected customer growth and to handle the Information System, once it has been implemented.

Background

Time is of the essence. In a competitive market, it is important to make the most of your time, and to be all that you can be. Our staff preforms a lot of different tasks during the day, from keeping up to date on the Australian Stock Exchange, to talk to clients and inform them of how their investments are doing. We at Gordon Banks believe that it is both our and our clients' interest that we communicate well, both within our company as well as with our clients.
