Unfortunately in today's generation, weight has become a big problem in people's lives. I personally am one of those people who have the same problem. According to Dudzic, "One in three people worldwide is overweight - and it is not just a problem of the developed world." I wouldn't say that I'm over weight or have an ugly body figure, but what I would say is that I am not happy with my personal appearance and that is because of my weight. So with that being said, I am trying to make a change in my life and that change is to be more fit.
There are many problems that come into play when I want to argue why I need to be more fit. One of the many problems is the fact that I am playing college basketball and I am not in the "shape" that I need to be.
I know that I am not the only one who feels like I need to lose weight because according to Obesity, Fitness & Wellness Week, "The study also revealed that 62% of female athletes wanted to lose at least 5 pounds, regardless of their sport." With me being out of shape, I am not keeping up with my basketball team, I am running out of breathe, and I am not lasting long in the games. And not only is that bad for me but its also not helping my team. Another one of the problems is the fact that since I don't have a nice body, I am not eating healthy because the fact that I have nothing to show for it. With me not eating the things that I should be it is not doing any justice for my body or helping...
