Football Helps

Overcoming adversity can be one of the hardest things to do in life. When times are going rough and in your mind you want to give up, the only way to overcome your problem is to find that little something extra within in you that allows you to keep pushing when you have nothing left. The game of football has helped me tremendously in this area. Waking up at five am. Every morning to work out for 2 months straight will build mental strength. The first week or two might be easy if you are a good athlete but by the third or fourth week when the alarm goes off in the morning for you to wake up, you will feel horrible.

Everything within you will tell you to stay in bed and get some rest, but to be the best you have to put in the work.

By doing this when you don't feel like it, you will become more mentally tough than you can imagine. This mental toughness will prepare you for the real world. Especially when you have a job you don't like, and you are required to wake up five days a week to do a job that you don't want to do. Doing things you don't want to do take a lot of of you, but when you are mentally tough you can handle it. For most of my life ive been told that the "real world" was hard and to enjoy my life as a child for as long as I can. Me hearing this from adults tells me that once I leave high school I better be mentally ready to take on any task at hand. Football not only gets me physically ready for the next level but it...
