In today's rapidly changing competitive world, the human element of management is becoming more significant. Management is a function, a discipline, and constant action to be completed. Managers are the professionals who practice this discipline, carry out the functions, and provide these tasks. There are four foundations to the long road of management success; planning, organization, leading, and controlling. These four keys are essential to produce a dynamic business and management team.
An evaluation and consideration of the management functions of planning, organizing, leading and controlling make the role that managers serves as the most vital role in any business. A manager cannot simply say, "I am going to start a plan at 8:00 a.m., organize before lunch, lead the team at 2:00 p.m., and control until the end of the work day." A manager must coordinate these functions. Implementing plans requires structuring groups. Subordinates must be guided to complete the plan, and the plan's progress must be monitored by controlling.
In order to carry out these practices in effective manner, one must first understand the basics in which these practices are to the structure.
