The French came to the New World for many reasons. One reason is that they wanted to find riches and become wealthy. Not only the French wanted this but also did England, and Spain. Another reason that the French wanted to go was that they wanted a .piece of the New World as did other countries. They also wanted to go on adventures and explore. Another reason that they went was to make money. They built colonies and large farms and would sell them back home for trinkets to buy things from the Indians. After this was done they also made brochures to send home so that more people would come. While the French were there they also stumbled upon a new way to make money. Fur trading, it was very simple to kill an animal and skin it. They could eat the meat and sell the furs back home.
