Mine is white holds 30 GB and everything in it I like. If you don't have one chances are you know three people that do. Though theirs may not be white nor hold 30 GB. The MP3 player has advanced in leaps and bounds since its creation in the late 90's. Initially the most top of the line MP3 could hold 50-80 songs and went for about $300. Now for $300 an MP3 player hold anywhere from 15,000-60,000 songs and some even display movie clips. With its advancement the MP3 player has became the most popular mode of portable music. Every CD you own in a device one can fit in their pocket.

The original MP3 player was created by a company in Germany named Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. In 1987 the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany began research code-named EUREKA project EU147, Digital Audio Broadcasting. It took 9 years after its creation to meet MPEG (Moving Pictures Expert Group) standards and gain a U.S.

patent. So any developers of MP3 encoders or rippers and decoders/players now have to pay a licensing fee to Fraunhofer.

An MP3 player is a device that is mostly used for listening to music they come different sizes, colors, styles, prices, capabilities and memory capacities. When it comes to sizes MP3 player the ranges from size small to smaller. Most MP3 players made today at least fit in most jean pockets. If the color matters, one could find an MP3 player any color they want. Creative MP3 player's prices range from $79 to $599. The lower end models hold any where from $79 to $252 and holds from 128 MB to 1GB. Mid range models cost anywhere from $290 to $425 and holds from 1-5 GB.
